The parish nurse is a resigtered nurse, who visits the sick in their homes, hospitals, nursing rehabilitation facilities and nursing homes.

Home Visitation

The parish nurse visits parishioners who are ill, or homebound. She brings Communion and spiritual support to those individuals who are in various degree's of wellness or illness.

Hospital, Nursing Home, Rehabilitation Facilities Visitation

The parish nurse visits the hospitals and other facilities weekly, bringing Communion and follows-up with parishioners after discharge from the hospital.

Communion Services

The parish nurse performs Communion Services at both the Woods and Lodge at Eddy Pond and assists the pastor with Masses at the Eddy Pond facilities.

Health Advocate, Educator & Referral Source

The parish nurse is a health advocate for the parishioners needing assistance at home or helping them to understand the health care system. She is also available for blood pressure checks.
