RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) It is that time of year when we begin to plan for our upcoming season for our RCIA process. The RCIA process is the manner people are accepted into our Catholic Church. If you know someone who was baptized Catholic but may not have received the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation, or someone wishing to join us from another denomination, or someone who has never been baptized or had formal religious training, this process is for them. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM in the Pastoral Center and share what being a Catholic Christian is all about. It is not a course in Catholicism 101. It is a process that explains our responsibility to our neighbors and the example we should show to others. If you know someone who fits into any of the above scenarios, have them give me a call so we can get together and discuss the process further. It is a very non-intimidating environment, which truly becomes an important part of your life. If you have any questions or for further information, contact Deacon Peter Ryan - Parish Director of Evangelization. |
